    Research context

    Why adjust the hip angle?

    The rectus femoris crosses both the hip and knee. That makes backrest position an interesting starting point for product development.

    A ten-week study of 22 untrained men found greater growth in parts of the rectus femoris at 40° than at 90° hip flexion. It tested another machine; it does not establish the effects of STOAD 01.
